As a longtime passionate cook and gardener, Mary Karlin has created Elements of Taste as a venue for sharing her love of good food and wine intertwined with the satisfying process of gathering, cooking and enjoying the tastes of life together in a meaningful way.
Mary continues to feed her love of cooking and sharing as Chef-Instructor around the US including Ramekins Cooking School, in Sonoma, CA, named 2005 "Cooking School of the Year", by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. She also teaches at Sur La Table in Scottsdale, AZ.
As a founding staff member, of Ramekins, Mary has been inspired since 1998 by a myriad of The Best of the culinary world of guest Instructors, restaurant chefs and culinary personalities who teach at the cooking schools. Elements of Taste is an extension and evolution of her work and travels plus many years of showcasing local passionate growers and producers of incredible foods and wines.
